TERMS The dance classes follow a four term year, generally based on the primary school dates. All fees are payable in advance, and a Term's notice in writing is required for any termination of attendance. All statutory holidays will be observed. Each year begins in early February.
An open day is held prior to the first term beginning, to provide an opportunity for new students and parents to meet the dance teachers and for any dance students already attending the Studio to discuss the year with the teachers.
Please follow this link to view our 2010 timetable.
OBSERVING CLASSES Parents can watch dance classes during the viewing weeks. To maintain concentration of the students, parents are requested to watch in silence and not to bring younger children into the studio. Parents and students are welcome to discuss their progress with the dance teachers by appointment.
CLASS TYPES Medal Classes These dance classes are a wonderful opportunity to extend the students. Medals will be taken towards the end of Term 2; the medal classes will only run for two terms. This class gives the dance students an opportunity to perform as a group or solo in competitions, take a medal examination and also strengthens the technique and performance skills.
Contemporary Class For dance students from Grade 3 - Advanced. This class gives a chance to experience dance of today. It is possible to take an examination in this dance class.
